Angela Bentivegna, CPDT-KA

HEAD TRAINER

Angela is a certified service dog instructor and pet dog trainer with over 20 years of experience in the animal care industry.

​

Angela began her career working with animals as a vet assistant in Burlington before graduating from Sheridan College's Animal Care Program. This allowed her to gain experience working with large exotic cats in a zoo setting.  In 2014 she worked in Niagara Falls training dolphins, walruses and other marine mammals for four years.

In 2008, she joined the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides as an apprentice trainer in the Service Dog Program and graduated her apprenticeship in 2011. She also learned how to train Seizure Response and Hearing Dog Guides. She became a specialist in Hearing Dog Guides in 2012 and a mentor for apprentice trainers in 2013.  She is now the head instructor of the Hearing Program at LFCDG. Through this work, she is also an assessor with Assistance Dogs International.  Since 2015, she has been offering private and group training classes for pet dog owners.  Angela is certified in both pet and human First-Aid/CPR.

Angela's mission is to help dogs and people communicate better and live happier lives together.  She serves the Brurlington and surrounding areas.
